Next Wednesday, the 17th of October a new group of Sisters will take up residence in the refurbished Divine Mercy Centre based in the former Loreto Convent in Letterkenny. The Sisters of the Merciful Jesus were founded as a result of a vision of St Faustina. She said that Jesus himself asked her to start a new congregation devoted to the Divine Mercy.
The Sisters will run the Divine Mercy Centre where they will offer retreats, give talks and reflections on the mercy flowing from the Lord Jesus. The Divine Mercy Centre has eleven newly furbished ensuite rooms, including three family rooms and a wheelchair friendly room. The rooms are modest but beautifully furnished. The Centre has its own oratory.
The project will begin with a group of three Sisters. There will be a special Mass of Welcome to launch and pray for the new project in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny on Saturday 27th October at 10am.
